A Fleet Of Hope

The RNLI: Saving Lives at Sea

A Fleet of Hope

Across the UK and Ireland, a fleet of over 400 lifeboats stands ready to rescue those in need. Powered by brave volunteers and supported by generous donors, these lifeboats have saved countless lives.

A Vital Mission

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Through lifeboat search and rescue, lifeguards, water safety education, and flood rescue, the RNLI works tirelessly to protect those who venture into the water.

A Ring of Safety

The 238 lifeboat stations of the RNLI form a ring of safety around the coasts of the UK and Ireland. These stations, some of which have been housing lifeboats for decades, are strategically placed to provide rapid response in times of emergency.

A History of Service

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is the largest of the lifeboat services operating around the coasts of the United Kingdom and Ireland. Since its inception in 1824, the RNLI has provided lifeboats to lifeboat stations throughout the region, saving countless lives and protecting those who rely on the sea.
