Southwest Flight 1380 Forced to Divert to New Orleans

Passengers Safe, No Injuries Reported

A Southwest Airlines flight traveling from New York City's LaGuardia Airport to Dallas was forced to make an emergency landing in New Orleans on Sunday morning after one of its engines was damaged.

The airline confirmed that Southwest Flight 1380 experienced engine trouble shortly after takeoff. The debris from the engine cover reportedly fell onto the runway at LaGuardia Airport.

The flight crew made the decision to divert to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, where the aircraft landed safely.

All passengers and crew members on board the flight are reported to be safe, and there were no injuries.

The cause of the engine damage is still under investigation. However, Southwest Airlines has stated that the safety of its passengers and crew is its top priority.

The incident has caused delays and cancellations for Southwest Airlines flights at both LaGuardia Airport and Dallas Love Field.
