Oliver Watkins scored a dramatic injury-time winner for England in their Euro 2024 semi-final against the Netherlands on Wednesday night.

The Aston Villa forward came off the bench to score in the 89th minute, sending England to the final, where they will face Italy.

Watkins' goal was the latest winning goal scored in a European Championship or World Cup semi-final excluding extra time.

The 28-year-old said after the match that scoring the winning goal was "the best feeling ever".

"I'm so happy for the team and for the fans," Watkins said.

"We've worked so hard to get to this point, and we're now one step away from winning the Euros.

"It's going to be a tough final, but we're confident that we can win it."
