Tracy-Ann Oberman reveals if she'll permanently return to EastEnders
Will Chrissie Watts make a full-time comeback to Albert Square?
Fans are desperate to know if there's more to come from the Walford legend...
Tracy-Ann Oberman has given her strongest hint yet that she could be set to make a permanent return to EastEnders. The actress, who played Chrissie Watts on the soap from 2005 to 2011, has said that she would "love" to go back to the show full-time.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Tracy-Ann said: "I would love to go back to EastEnders full-time. I love the character of Chrissie and I think there's still so much more to explore with her. She's such a complex and flawed character, and I think she's capable of anything."
Tracy-Ann's comments come after she made a brief return to EastEnders last year for a special episode that marked the soap's 35th anniversary. The episode saw Chrissie return to Walford to help her sister, Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer), through a difficult time.
Fans were delighted to see Tracy-Ann back on the show, and many have been calling for her to make a permanent return. It remains to be seen whether Tracy-Ann will actually go back to EastEnders full-time, but her latest comments suggest that she is certainly open to the idea.
Meanwhile, EastEnders' boss Kate Oates has said that she would "welcome" Tracy-Ann back to the show. Speaking to Inside Soap, Kate said: "I think Tracy-Ann is a fantastic actress and I would welcome her back to EastEnders with open arms.
So, could Tracy-Ann Oberman be set to make a permanent return to EastEnders? Only time will tell, but it certainly looks like the door is open for her if she wants to come back.
